An increase in employment opportunities will be inevitable once two companies settle down in Northeast Industrial Park.
Two companies have bought land in Belleville and are expected to bring over 150 jobs to the area.
The city’s sold 18.6-acres of land to Highfield Investment Group, and 25-acres of land to warehousing and Canada-based distribution company, Vision Transportation.
Mayor Neil Ellis says Highfield are ready to begin construction right away.
Highfield will develop a 375,000-square-foot distribution centre building for operation by a partnering company on behalf of their parent company.
The companies have showed an interest in Belleville to further invest in the economic growth of the city, specifically naming Vision’s continued operating relationship in Belleville for the last 10 years.
