
With the holiday long-weekend reaching its most satisfactory Monday off, we’ve compiled a master list of all of the recourses you might need during your time off. It’s always best to call ahead before going anywhere. Oldies 100.9 will not be publishing regular news on Monday, but will resume regular coverage on Tuesday.
Here’s what residents can expect:
LIQUOR STORES
Cobourg LCBO and Beer Store are open with the same hours, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Port Hope and Brighton will be travelling outside of town, as all of their available locations will be closed.
PHARMACY
Both the Cobourg Shoppers and the Port Hope Shoppers Simply Pharmacy will be open. Brighton Rexall will be closed.
GROCERIES
Cobourg Foodland and Brighton Sobey’s will be opened with regular store hours. Cobourg’s M&M Food Market will be opened from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and The Port Hope M&M’s from 10 a.m. to 5p.m.
WALMART
Cobourg Walmart will be open with regular hours.
BRIGHTON MUNICIPAL OFFICES
Municipal offices will be closed on Monday for the holiday and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.
King Edward Park Arena and the Owen Gibb Community Hall will be closed.
PORT HOPE MUNICIPAL OFFICES
Civic Holiday Closures
Municipal buildings will be closed and transit service will operate on a reduced schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Municipal recreation facilities will be open at regular hours on the holiday.
The Hope Transfer Station and Port Hope Public Library branches will also be closed on Monday, August 7 for the holiday.
COBOURG MUNICIPAL OFFICES
Town of Cobourg municipal offices and buildings, including Victoria Hall, the Cobourg Community Centre, the Cobourg Public Library, Public Works Building 7 and the Venture13 will be closed.
Cobourg Transit will be running its regular hours of operation on the Civic Holiday. The Town of Cobourg wishes all residents and visitors and safe and happy long weekend.
