The All Hands On Deck Food Drive runs from 10 am to 6 pm on August 17th.
With the cost of living continuing to challenge families to just make ends meet, the All Hands on Deck Food Drive is about helping out those most impacted by the economy.
MBC Media Station Manager for Cobourg Tommy West told us that food donations will help restock the shelves of our local food banks.
Studies show that children focus better and score higher results when their bellies are full.
Once again this year, we’re focusing on Back to School to help to ensure all kids in Northumberland can perform at their best this September.
West told us your donations are needed to help restock the shelves.
Your donation of non-perishable food, snacks, personal care items and monetary donations will make a big difference for those facing food insecurity in Northumberland County.

As you may be aware, food bank usage has seen a marked increase in the last few years – in June alone over 90,000 pounds of food and other items were distributed by Food 4 All to food banks throughout the county.
West told us what items are most in demand for back to school.
According to West, the All Hands on Deck food drive would not be possible without those working behind the scenes who helped make it a reality.

All proceeds will go to Food 4 All who distribute food and other items to food banks throughout Northumberland County.
