Warkworth celebrated it’s 171 Fair on the weekend
Fair organizers were true to their word, providing Country Days and Rockin’ Nights.
The three day affair included horse pulls, 4-H Beef Show, a midway, truck and tractor pulls, horse pulls and the very popular Hot Diggity Dogs show, just to name a few.
The Warkworth Fall Fair is a tradition that is 171 years old and is a legacy of the past that the Percy Agricultural Society passes on to future generations. Fund raising is key to keeping fairs like this alive and well in Ontario.

Irish Millie returned to the Fall Fair this year to open for the Mudmen.

Fair-goers were treated to a variety of musical entertainers including locals The Blue Rigbys and Rayzor’s Edge on Friday night, as well as Irish Millie and the first performance on Saturday of the Mudmen in Warkworth.

According to Russell, the beef show is always well attended.
With the annual fair now in the books, the society turns to it’s upcoming Autumn Vendor Market, Perfect Pie Contest and Festival of Trees in December, in their pursuit of promoting and enriching rural life.
