Mischief and Assault are the charges facing a Port Hope resident
On the morning of September 22, Cobourg Police were dispatched to a property damage call in the north end of Cobourg, where security cameras had recorded an individual slashing the tires of a truck.
Later the same morning, another call reported an ongoing assault.
Upon arrival, the suspect had fled, but further investigation revealed he was the same person involved in the earlier incident.
Around noon, police apprehended Travis Watts, a 38-year-old resident of Port Hope, charging him with mischief and assault.
Watts is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
