The paws of pets and parents alike beat down the paths of Victoria Park– and raised $36,000 at Hike, Bike and Bark for Hospice, and two individuals were named the highest fundraising individuals.
The event was led by sponsors Lee Caswell & Tina Hubicki of Bosley Real Estate. It was a day when our community came together to remember loved ones and raise money.
The Ed’s House Foundation’s main job is to get money to support hospice programs in our community. These programs include the Palliative Care Community Team and Volunteer Hospice Visiting program. They also include the 24/7 care at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre. All of these services are free for the people who need them.
This year’s event was about having fun and being flexible. People could choose to hike, bike, or walk their dogs on 1km or 5km paths. We were happy to be back in Victoria Park in Cobourg.
But the individuals who provided this year’s largest lump sum were Jennifer Darrell and Selena Forsyth, who raised the most money as individuals. Team Kate was received recognition as the top team fundraiser
