Tattoos4Trauma laid ink on a cheque for the Northumberland Warming Hub. The organizers have donated over $25,000 to the centre.
Earlier this week, Northumberland Warming Hub opened up its doors for the winter. Event co-organizer Sue Glover presented a cheque totalling $25,352.08 to support this season. Glover says it will go to a good cause.
“With the increasing impacts of homelessness being felt across our community, we wanted to put money raised towards an initiative that would have an immediate effect this winter. That is why we selected the Northumberland Warming Hub as the 2023 Tattoos4Trauma fundraising recipient,” said Sue and event co-organizer Theresa Rickerby. “The Warming Hub is a vital community service that offers stability and support for people in need. We are pleased to support this important work.”
The Northumberland Warming Hub opened on October 16 and serves twelve hours a night, seven nights a week.
