Northumberland’s Affordable Housing Committee will review the past, present and future of housing in the county.
National Housing Day marks an occasion dedicated to recognizing the important work done by housing partners across Canada to improve access to housing for residents.
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, the Affordable Housing Committee is inviting community members to Victoria Hall in Cobourg to explore housing issues and bust some myths through a review of housing police, data and living experiences.
They’ll start off with a presentation on the history of housing in Canada and how policies have led to where we are today. They’ll move into a local perspective with reports from Habitat for Humanity’s Housing Continuum study – which reports contrasting housing premiums with a high activity in developments county-wide.
