United Way Northumberland is thrilled to announce their selection as the recipient of the latest grant from 100+ Women Who Care Northumberland, receiving $8,434 for the Northumberland Eats Voucher Program.
The donation marks the largest grant ever distributed by 100+ Women Who Care Northumberland.
The Northumberland Eats program, led by United Way Northumberland in partnership with Northumberland County, aims to provide food support to families in need while supporting local businesses. Social service organizations distribute vouchers to individuals and families struggling with food insecurity across the county.
With the support of the grant from 100+ Women Who Care Northumberland, United Way Northumberland can provide more vouchers to individuals and families in the community, especially as the holiday season approaches. Recognizing the challenging times many are facing, these vouchers can make a real difference.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the 100+ Women Who Care Northumberland for choosing Northumberland Eats for this grant,” says Maggie Darling, Acting Executive Director, United Way Northumberland. “Together, we are making a positive impact in the lives of our community members and ensuring that nutritious food reaches the tables of individuals and families in our community.”
