We welcomed Katia Legakis and Fiona Milner, the duo who make up Ladybird, to our studios this morning for a live performance of their new Christmas single called “Wait until Next Year”.
Katia told us about the inspiration that led to the songs creation.
Cobourg locals who attended the Beyond the Blue Box will have already had the chance to hear the harmony laden melodies this dynamic duo can bring to life on the stage. It was at that time that Classic Rock 107.9’s York Bell-Smith asked their producer Mike Woods of Log Jam Studios if we could expect a Christmas song from the team.
Legakis told us they created the new song over the course of just 24 hours.
You wouldn’t know it from a listen to their holiday offering, but Fiona told us that harmonizing together was something new for her.
So with all this talk about the song, it’s time we let Katia and Fiona share their work.
