The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation District 14 have announced a tentative agreement for contract teachers spanning from Sept. 1st, 2022, to August 31st, 2026.
Approximately 700 secondary teachers have been without an agreement since August 31, 2022.
Local bargaining commenced in Dec. 2022, addressing significant issues aimed at enhancing working and learning conditions.
Dave Warda, OSSTF District 14 President, acknowledged that the process has strengthened the professional relationship between the two parties.
The tentative agreement is set for presentation to members for ratification, with both parties optimistic about fostering positive collaboration in the future.
Details of the agreement remain confidential until the ratification process is complete.
