ENSS athletes qualified after securing their spots with top four finishes in nine individual events and one relay after 47 athletes competed at the East Regional Track and Field Championship previously.
Black won gold in the novice boys’ javelin with a best throw of 49.24 m, says coach Anne Falla.
Several additional ENSS athletes secured notable wins at OFSAA, including Cadence Tait with a 16th place finish in the senior girls 1,500 and a 14th place finish in the 800-metre races.
Dominic Rittwage took 15th in the junior boys’ 400. Meanwhile, Sullivan Tait finished 17th in the novice boys’ 3,000, and 22nd in the 1,500 races.
