
Quinte West OPP say an investigation is continuing after one person was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash.
On the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 20, Quinte West OPP said the collision had shut down the County Road 28/41 area, west of County Road 40 and between County Road 26. Due to the investigation and the seriousness of the collision, OPP said the road had to be closed.
The road reopened Wednesday morning, OPP reported, while confirming their investigation was continuing.
Emergency crews responded to the collision shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
One person was transported by Air Ornge with serious injuries, while other individuals were transported to hospital by Hastings Quinte Paramedics as a precaution, said police.
No other details were released by police.
