If you’re looking for a new gig, the Work in Quinte Career Fair is returning on Sept. 18, featuring more than 50 employers looking to fill some 1,500-plus vacant positions.
The cities of Belleville and Quinte West are gearing up to welcome job seekers and employers to the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre for the fair.
“This year’s Work in Quinte Career Fair will feature over 50 employers from around the region,” said the City of Quinte West, in a recent release. “Employers at the career fair will showcase employment opportunities, promote their organizations, and look forward to meeting qualified candidates.”
Officials noted notable employers participating this year include Anamet, Quinte Custom Foods, Berry Global and Redpath Sugar Ltd.
“This career fair is a fantastic opportunity for our community,” said Elizabeth Edwards, economic development officer, with the City of Quinte West. “We’re thrilled to bring together over 50 employers from across the region, offering a diverse range of job opportunities and the chance for job seekers to connect directly with potential employers.”
Whether you’re looking to explore a new position or make a career change, organizers say the fair is the place to be on Sept. 18 from 1 to 6 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with resumes and be interview-ready to engage with local businesses actively seeking to fill vacant positions.
“There are so many fantastic local businesses and organizations hiring in our region right now,” noted Victoria Watts, business growth and retention specialist for the City of Belleville. “No matter where you are in your employment journey or what you are interested in pursuing, the Work in Quinte Career Fair has an opportunity for you.”
