This Monday, Sept. 23 road work starts in Prince Edward County.
Over a two week period so-called micro surfacing applications will be made on sections of County Roads 4,18, 33 and Ridge Road.
Micro surfacing extends the life expectancy of asphalt roads. It’s similar to having a sealer applied to a paved driveway.
The following roads will be affected:
- County Road 4 (Civic Address 725 to Civic Address 1119)
- County Road 18 (Civic Address 2102 to County Road 12)
- County Road 33 (Civic Address 15087 to Civic Address 15490)
- Ridge Road (County Road 10 to Civic Address 608)
Single lane closures will occur during the work affecting traffic flow and there could be a disruption to property access within work zones.
The work being done is part of Prince Edward County’s five-year road improvement plan.
