
Cobourg police say they are calling on the public for help to identify suspects in a break-and-enter investigation.
According to the Cobourg Police Service, on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, police started an investigation after a report of a break and enter after the fact at a business on Buchanan Street.
Police said last Sunday, Nov. 24, at about 11:40 p.m., four storage units at a business on Buchanan Street were entered by unknown suspects.
Scenes of crime officers also responded to the business to process the scene and evidence.
Based on security footage, police said on Thursday, Nov. 28 that there are believed to be multiple suspects.
Among the items reported missing from the unit is a full-size hunting crossbow that is camouflaged in colour, reported police, adding the investigation is ongoing.
Police are asking anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage of the area to contact CPS at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477. Anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers can also be submitted online.
Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward, added police.
On Thursday, police released images and a video of alleged suspects.
No other details were provided by police.
