Two individuals are facing charges after Quinte West OPP say they responded to a break-in report – not long after a search warrant was executed at the same Adrian Court home earlier in the day, resulting in the alleged seizure of suspected drugs.
On Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, police said they responded to a break-and-enter in-progress call on Adrian Court.
“Officers had just completed a search warrant at the residence earlier that morning,” reported OPP, in a recent release.
After responding to the scene, two parties were allegedly arrested in the residence. One of the accused was earlier charged in connection with the search warrant being executed and then released, according to OPP reports and email correspondence to MBC.
Following the alleged break-in, the accused 33-year-old from Quinte West was further charged with break and enter – with intent to commit an indictable offence, theft under $5,000, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
The accused was held for a bail hearing. None of these charges have been proven in court.
A 47-year-old Quinte West man was also charged with break and enter – with intent to commit an indictable offence. This charge has not been proven in court.
The accused was released from custody and will appear in Belleville court at a later date, reported police.
