If you want a chance to be part of Brighton’s signature Applefest fall festival, now is the time.
The Applefest advisory committee is currently accepting applications for 2025 vendor spots through to June 1.
Organizers say priority will be given to local vendors, which includes those in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
“We remind vendors that Applefest is a curated event, and while we appreciate all (who) apply, only those who are successful in securing a booth space will be contacted,” add organizers.
Applefest is a beloved signature event for the community but also a huge regional tourism draw, often bringing in anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 people.
In 2025, Applefest marks its 51st year. This year’s festival will start Sept. 25 and go through to Sept. 28, with activities stretching across the downtown, at the public school, Codrington Farmers’ Market, and King Edward Park.
In addition to the famous street fair, live entertainment will also light up Memorial Park in the downtown again this year. The children’s village and vintage car show are also returning.
In the meantime, if you’re interested in applying to be part of the award-winning festival, applications are accessible online and at the Municipal Centre at 35 Alice St.
People with questions relating to the application process can email applefest@brighton.ca.
Organizers also often post festival updates and a more detailed lineup online and on social media channels as the event draws nearer.
As previously reported earlier this year, Brighton’s Applefest was in the spotlight after being recognized by Festivals and Events Ontario as one of the Top 100 festivals provincewide.
