Reconstruction prep work is getting underway in the County Road 64/Prince Edward Street Brighton area as of today (Monday, May 5.)
According to Northumberland County, this means through to next Friday, May 16, there will be traffic impacts.
The latest work is around utility relocation as crews prepare to delve into another year of reconstruction work and replacing critical infrastructure.
Residents are being reminded that as a result the road will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to all southbound traffic between Butler and Grimes streets.
The road will reopen in the evenings, and northbound traffic isn’t impacted.
