Sunshine, fresh air and a morning on the green are on the agenda as Diamonds in the Rough returns July 8 at the Mill in Cobourg.
Hosted by United Way Northumberland, the popular women’s golf tournament features a new format this year, with breakfast, nine holes of golf and a networking lunch, all in support of local programs, explains executive director Alicia Vandine.
Vandine says the event is about enjoying a relaxed day outdoors, no matter your skill level.
The lunch will feature guest speaker Dr. Stacey Fritsch-Horn, a Cobourg-based naturopathic doctor, whose talk, the Gut-Hormone Connection, ties in with the United Way’s goal of promoting well-being and community.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. at the Mill. The event includes nine holes with power carts, prizes, and plenty of laughs.
