A special council meeting is in the works for today (Tuesday, June 24) that will take council on a Brighton economic development familiarization tour, says the municipality.
The tour kicks off at 8:30 a.m. as council members meet at the Municipal Centre on Alice Street and board a bus. The tour will wrap at about 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park on Main Street.
Stops on the tour include Pine Glen Farms, Simple Life Homes, Presqu’ile Park Place and the Presqu’ile Waddling Arts Centre. After this, the plan is to wrap up with an outdoor casual picnic-style lunch at the park, according to the agenda for the meeting.
