Walas Park in Brighton will be closed starting Monday, July 7 as work gets started on a new walking path.
The Municipality of Brighton said on Monday ground preparation work for the new path will get underway.
The closure – between Raglan, Walas and Cedar streets – is anticipated to remain in place while work is carried out for an estimated two weeks depending on weather conditions.
After this time, the park will reopen with a gravel path, and then paving will follow later in the summer, noted municipal officials.
A copy of the walking path site plan is accessible online.
“We appreciate your patience and co-operation as we work to improve our community spaces,” municipal staff told residents.
