The Quinte Woodland Conference is back this fall, offering landowners, nature enthusiasts and forestry professionals a full day of learning and networking.
MBC caught up with Susan Moore, who let us know when this year’s conference is taking place.
This year’s keynote speaker is Ethan Tapper, a Vermont forester and author of “How to Love a Forest.”
Other sessions will focus on wildfire protection, tree plantation co-operatives and succession planning for landowners who want to conserve their property for future generations.
The event will also feature about 30 exhibitors.
A guided field walk will give participants the chance to explore biodiversity firsthand.
Registration is required at ontariowoodlot.com or by email at QuinteWoodlandConference@gmail.com.
