Caregivers in Northumberland County will have a place to connect, learn, and recharge at the first-ever Caregivers Fair hosted by St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Cobourg.
The event takes place Wednesday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Great Hall at St. Peter’s on College Street. Organized by Reverend Matthew McMillian and parish volunteers, the fair is designed to bring together community organizations, service providers, and businesses that support those caring for seniors, children, or people living with health challenges.
Reverend Matthew McMillan tells us who should attend.
Reverend McMillian says the idea grew out of recognizing the vital role caregivers play in families and communities-and the need to connect them with the help and recognition they deserve.
Rev. McMillian says they’ve cast the net wide.
The event will include information booths, resources, and networking opportunities for both professional and family caregivers.
According to Rev. McMillan, it’s a chance for local organizations to showcase what they offer.

Organizers say the fair is an opportunity to celebrate compassion, strengthen community connections, and ensure caregivers know they’re not alone.
