Northumberland OPP is calling on the public for help identifying suspects after an alleged distraction theft at a business in the Elizabeth Street area in Brighton.
On Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, police issued a release saying their probe into the incident is continuing and released images of suspects.
According to OPP, on Nov. 15, 2025, at about 4 p.m., officers received a report of a stolen wallet and unauthorized transactions totaling $3,800 using bank cards.
“The complainant advised they had their wallet while visiting a commercial property on Elizabeth Street in Brighton earlier that afternoon,” said police. “Investigators believe the theft occurred in the parking lot through a distraction technique.”

On Friday, police said they’re hoping the public can help identify four individuals in connection with the incident.
Anyone who knows the identity of the individuals or who has further information is urged to reach out to the Brighton OPP Detachment at 613-475-1313 or OPP’s non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122. Police also provided a reference occurrence number of E251546918.
