Three people are facing charges after a “weekend brawl” in Picton in recent weeks, say police.
According to Prince Edward County OPP, on Nov. 29, 2025, shortly after 6:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault outside a business on Main Street in Picton.
Two suspects were identified and later arrested that evening and were taken into custody without incident, said police, on Dec. 6, 2025.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 33-year-old Cherry Valley resident was charged with two counts of assault and mischief.
Another 30-year-old Picton resident was also charged with assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, reported OPP.
As part of the investigation, police said it was also allegedly revealed that a knife was involved during the altercation. As a result, officers have since also charged a 27-year-old Belleville resident with assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, said police.
None of these charges have been proven in court. All of the accused were released from custody and will appear in Picton court at a later date.
