A Deseronto man is facing charges after Belleville police say they responded to a report of a vehicle stick in a snowbank.
According to the Belleville Police Service, officers responded Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at about 2:07 a.m., following a report that the vehicle was stuck in a snowbank in the city’s east end.
After arriving on scene, police said they spoke with a man who reported that he attended the area to help after seeing the vehicle stuck and allegedly observed another man sitting in the driver’s seat exit the vehicle holding a beer can, and then the man walked away from the scene.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 25-year-old Deseronto man was found, arrested and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus.)
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused was released on an undertaking and will appear in Belleville court in January.
