If you have municipal business to still tend to, you have until Christmas Eve at noon before offices close for the holidays.
The Municipality of Brighton says its offices will close Dec. 24 at noon for the holidays and reopen Monday, Jan. 5 at 8:30 a.m.
However, after-hours and emergency supports will remain in place throughout the holidays, say municipal staff.
Brighton Fire and Rescue remains on-call over the holidays, as will public works and environmental services teams.
In the event of an emergency, officials ask residents to call the after-hours contact listed on the municipal website.
Officials note that both library branches will also close on Christmas Eve and reopen on Jan. 2 with regular hours. However, book drop-offs are still an option during the closure.
For residents looking to buy garbage bag tags over the break, several retailers sell them, and a list is accessible online.
