A Frankford resident is facing a slew of charges after a traffic stop over the weekend, says Quinte West OPP.
Police said the traffic stop on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at about 7:30 p.m., led to an impaired driving investigation and the driver arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 39-year-old Frankford man was charged with operation while impaired – drugs, operation while impaired – blood drug concentration, possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine, driving with an open container of liquor, driving without insurance, and driving a vehicle with no currently validated permit.
None of these charges have been proven in court. The accused was released from custody and will appear in Belleville court on Jan. 22, 2026, reported OPP.
Police continue to ask citizens to report suspected impaired driving by calling 911.
