A report of a vehicle allegedly swerving across the roadway in Belleville has led to charges for a 38-year-old Trenton man, say police.
At about 7:13 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, the Belleville Police Service said officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver in the city’s east end and a vehicle allegedly swerving across the roadway.
After locating the suspect vehicle and a subsequent investigation, police said a 38-year-old Trenton man was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus.)
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February, reported police.
