Northumberland OPP are investigating a stolen licence plate incident reported in the Municipality of Brighton.
Police say the incident occurred on December 28, 2025, after officers received a complaint about a vehicle parked at a commercial property on Main Street. Following enquiries, officers determined that the licence plate displayed on the vehicle was believed to be stolen.
As part of the ongoing investigation, OPP have released images of the individual and the vehicle involved in an effort to identify the person connected to the incident. Investigators are asking members of the public to review the images and report any information that could assist police.
Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information related to the stolen licence plate is asked to contact the Brighton OPP detachment at 613-475-1313 or the OPP non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122. Police ask that callers reference occurrence number E251736440.
Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit tips online. Police note that Crime Stoppers does not use call display, callers will not be required to testify in court, and information provided could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
