WEDNESDAY, JAN. 28:
KNITCETERA: Swing by the Brighton Public Library with your project to chat and share with other yarn enthusiasts. All fibre artists are welcome and those who want to learn to knit or crochet, too. No registration needed for this 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. event.
BRIGHTON PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING: The Brighton Public Library Board meets at 35 Alice St. For its regular board meeting, with the public always welcome to attend. Time is 7 to 8 p.m.
SUPPER’S READY BRIGHTON: Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church hosts is Supper’s Ready program for free weekly at the church, offering people a chance to connect over dinner and dessert. For those who can afford it, small cash donations are appreciated to help cover costs for meals. Dinner is 5 to 6 p.m.
PUBLIC SKATING: From 3 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m., you can hit the ice at Brighton’s King Edward Park Arena for public skating with the family or your friends. It’s $3 per person.
SENIOR SKATE: Every Wednesday, from 2 to 3 p.m. Brighton has dedicated time for seniors to hit the ice. It’s $2 per person.
GRAIN AND GRACE EXHIBIT: There’s still time to check out the Crystal Barley artist wood exhibit at These 4 Walls at 22 Front St., Trenton, running 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
FARMHOUSE WINDOW WORKSHOP IN THE GALLERY: Join the fun for a Farmhouse Window Workshop. You’ll work with stencils and alcohol ink to make the look of stained glass – but it’s way easier. All materials are provided, but spots are limited. Hosted at These 4 Walls at 22 Front St., Trenton, from 6 to 7 p.m.
THURSDAY, JAN. 29
BUSY BEES: Babies and their caregivers can buzz over to the Brighton Public Library from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for a variety of sensory activities together while making new friends in this relaxed program.
SONG AND STORY HOUR: Join Terry and Penny for sing-alongs and stories during this one-hour program at the Brighton Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The program is tailored to preschool kids, but all ages can enjoy the stories and songs. No registration needed.
TWEEN SCENE: For ages 11 to 14 – drop in for snacks, games, crafts and to just hang out from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Brighton Public Library.

THURSDAY, JAN. 29:
The Picton Pirates and Trent Hills Thunder are at the Prince Edward Community Centre Thursday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
COMING UP SOON:
The Trenton Golden Hawks aren’t back in action until Friday, Jan. 30 when they take on the North York Rangers on home ice at Duncan Memorial. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
The Belleville Senators are also off until Friday when they face off against the Cleveland Monsters on the road at 7 p.m.
