If you’re looking for a fresh new start in 2026, you may want to swing by the Brighton Career Fair today (Tuesday, Feb. 3.)
Hosted at the Owen Gibb Community Centre inside the King Edward Park Arena, this is the fourth edition of the career fair for Brighton, running 2 to 6 p.m.
As previously reported, Ben Hagerman, Brighton’s manager of economic development and communications, says over the course of the last three years the event continues to rally anywhere from a dozen to 20 or more employers annually looking to fill full and part-time positions, as well as seasonal opportunities.
This year, everyone from OPP to Presqu’ile Provincial Park and Base 31 will be at the fair looking to fill jobs. Timber Ridge Golf Course, Inclusion Northumberland, 100 Acre Wood, Elevate Property Solutions Co., and even the Municipality of Brighton are just a few of the others who will be looking for candidates.
And support services staff from Career Edge and Watton Employment Services will also be onsite advertising additional opportunities, while also offering help to employers and job seekers.
This year’s event is being hosted in partnership with Work in Quinte, a regional employment service under the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board. There is no cost to get involved or visit the fair.
Candidates have been encouraged to pre-register online, but it isn’t a requirement. However, job seekers should come prepared to apply for jobs and/or be interviewed on the spot and bring hard copies of their resumes.
