Northumberland County is calling on residents interested in volunteering as it prepares to open the new Golden Plough Lodge long-term care home.
Officials say volunteers will help welcome residents, assist with activities, provide friendly visits and support daily programs throughout the home.
Opportunities are open to community members, including high school students seeking volunteer hours.
Applicants must complete a vulnerable sector police check and tuberculosis test before being approved.
