The Brighton Public Library is heading into March with a mix of seasonal events and regular drop-in programming for all ages.
Heather Ratz, CEO of the Brighton Public Library, says one of the biggest draws this month is the annual seed exchange, happening Saturday, March 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Ratz says the partnership with the Brighton Garden Club also means people can get advice on how best to use what they take home.
The library also continues to offer weekly family-focused programming. On Thursdays at 10 a.m., Busy Bees Baby Time gives young children a place to explore and caregivers a chance to connect.
For older participants, the library also hosts a Spanish Circle on the first Saturday of every month.
Ratz says most Brighton library programs are drop-in and do not require registration. She also notes residents do not need a library card to attend events unless they want to borrow items.
She says that reflects the broader role libraries now play as community gathering places, not just places to check out books.
