Regional Tourism Organization Eight is looking to add new members to its Board of Directors, with applications now open for the 2026 to 2027 term.
The board helps guide tourism development across the Kawarthas-Northumberland region, focusing on building a strong, sustainable visitor economy throughout the year.
Officials say they are seeking individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, with a preference for those who are business owners or working within the tourism industry.
Board members are expected to play an active role in supporting the organization’s work. Requirements include attending at least seven board meetings per year, serving on one committee and participating in key planning sessions, including a full day orientation in June and a half day session in the fall.
The role also involves approximately six hours of work per month, such as reviewing materials and contributing to decision making.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and remain in good standing with the organization throughout their term.
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 21 at 4:30 p.m.
Applications must be submitted by email, along with supporting documents.
RTO8 says the board plays an important role in shaping tourism priorities and supporting economic growth across the region.
