Boating season at the Trent Port Marina officially kicks off this weekend.
The City of Quinte West has announced that the marina opens this Friday, May 1 with seasonal and transient slips available.
However, boaters looking to make the marina their home port this summer are being encouraged to reserve their slips now while spaces are still available.
“We’re excited to welcome returning and new boaters to Trent Port Marina again this season,” said Andrew Belej, supervisor of marina operations. “With our seasonal and transient slips available alongside the summer events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy on the waterfront.”
Located at the mouth of the Trent-Severn Waterway, the gateway to Ontario’s most scenic boating routes, the Trent Port Marina is described as a popular destination for both seasonal boaters and short-term visitors, added the city.
“With premium dockage and modern amenities, including laundry facilities, a boaters’ lounge, and a beautiful gathering hall, the marina is an ideal full-season home port while also welcoming transient boaters for day visits or weekend getaways,” said the city.
This year will also again feature an exciting summer schedule in the marina area for both residents and boaters, including live music, pub nights, lawn games and more. It’s also a great spot to watch Canada Day fireworks over the bay.
