Construction season continues to ramp up and will mean work on sidewalk replacement in the Dundas Street West Quinte West area starting this week.
Work will get underway on the city’s annual sidewalk replacement program starting Thursday, May 21.
Throughout spring and summer, city staff said work will focus on the north sidewalk – from Hastings Drive to McColl Street – and the south sidewalk – from Tripp Boulevard to Farley Crescent.
“The existing sidewalks and boulevards are a combination of concrete and asphalt,” explained staff. “This project will replace the current sidewalks in this area with extra-wide, concrete sidewalks.”
The work will mean temporary sidewalk and lane closures will be in effect until construction wraps up in mid-June.
Last year, sidewalks were already replaced between McColl Street and Maclellan Avenue on the north side and to the south on Farley Crescent and Film Street.
