A 53-year-old Bancroft resident is facing charges in connection with alleged sexual offences involving minors, say police.
According to Bancroft OPP, in late April, the crime unit started an investigation after receiving reports of alleged sexual offences.
In a brief release issued on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, police said as a result of the investigation, Adam Palmer, 53, of Bancroft, was charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, and sexual exploitation.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
On Wednesday, police stated the accused was released from custody and will appear in Bancroft court at a later date. No other details were released by police.
