HIKING ADVENTURES: Get back to loving the outdoors meeting at the Batawa Trails from 10 to 11 a.m.
KNITCETERA: Swing by the Brighton Public Library with your latest yarn project to share with other yarn enthusiasts from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. No registration is needed to take part. Those wanting to learn how to crocket or knit are also welcome.
BRIGHTON PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING: The meeting is hosted from 7 to 8 p.m. in the program room at 35 Alice St. The public is welcome.
BRIGHTON LIONS’ BINGO: Hosted at King Edward from 4 to 10 p.m.
SUPPER’S READY: You can swing by Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church in Brighton from 5 to 6 p.m. for a free meal and community connection. Small donations are appreciated for those who are able to help cover some food costs.
CAMPFIRE COOKING: Participants learn to make campfire treats from start to finish and enjoy it together in a fun, social setting. Ideal for anyone who loves cooking, outdoor-inspired treats and connecting over food. Hosted at the Trenton library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Registration is required for this event.
THURSDAY, MAY 28:

BUSY BEES: Swing on over to the Brighton Public Library from 10 to 10:30 a.m. to explore sensory activities with your little ones in a relaxed setting. The program is designed for babies and caregivers.
SONG AND STORY HOUR: Hosted at the Brighton library from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Join Terry and Penny for sing-alongs and stories.
TWEEN SCENE: For ages 11 to 14. Swing by the Brighton library for snacks, games and crafts or just to hang out from 3 to 4 p.m.
OPEN MIC AT THE GRAND MAPLE: Every Thursday, the Grand Maple hosts open mic night featuring the best local entertainment and guest host musicians from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
RETRO MOVIE NIGHTS: Hosted at the Aron Theatre Co-op in Campbellford. Today’s showing is “Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.” The movie starts at 7 p.m.

In local baseball, the Brighton Bandits have four games on the schedule tonight (Wednesday, May 27.) Three of the games are home at King Edward Park, with the 15, 13 and 11 and under teams back on the diamonds taking on Colborne, Warkworth and Belleville.
