Campbellford Memorial Hospital is inviting residents to attend a public information session next month focused on the hospital’s ongoing redevelopment planning process and long term vision for healthcare in the region.
The session will take place Thursday, June 4 at the Sunny Life Recreation and Wellness Centre in Campbellford.
Hospital officials say the evening is designed to help residents better understand the current stage of redevelopment planning, ongoing site assessment work, and the broader vision for a future hospital and Campus of Care.
An information presentation will run from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by an open house from 7 until 9 p.m. where community members can speak directly with members of the redevelopment team and ask questions about the project.
Campbellford Memorial Hospital President and CEO Jeff Hohenkerk says redevelopment planning is about preparing for the future of healthcare across the region while ensuring residents remain informed and connected throughout the process.
The session will include updates on the current redevelopment stage, early planning work already underway, and how the proposed Campus of Care concept is intended to support future healthcare demands in the region.
Hospital officials also say additional redevelopment information sessions and open houses are expected across the region over the coming months as part of broader community outreach efforts.
Campbellford Memorial Hospital is a 38 bed healthcare facility serving approximately 40 thousand residents across Northumberland, Hastings, and Peterborough counties, in addition to seasonal visitors throughout the Trent River and Kawartha Lakes region.
The hospital currently provides emergency, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, surgical, outpatient, and mental health services.
More information about the redevelopment project is available through the hospital’s website.
