Business owners, managers, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders from across the Bay of Quinte region are being invited to participate in a new leadership development event this month.
Leading Edge Quinte will take place June 11 at Batawa Ski Hill, bringing together local business and community leaders for a half day focused on leadership, resilience, workplace culture, communication, and professional growth.
The event is being organized by the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce with presenting sponsor the City of Quinte.
Running from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., the program will feature keynote speaker Barbara Yebuga, along with presentations from Theresa Bailey and Dr. Kylie Bragdon. Attendees will also hear from a panel of leaders moderated by Doug Stevenson.
Linda Lisle, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism for the City of Quinte West, said strong leadership can have a significant impact on workplaces, organizations, and communities.
Organizers say the event was created to provide local leaders with an opportunity to step away from their daily responsibilities, invest in their own development, and strengthen connections within the regional business community.
In addition to presentations and discussions, participants will have opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and hear personal stories from leaders and changemakers from across the region.
The event will conclude with networking opportunities, prize draws, and outdoor s’mores around the fire pits at Batawa Ski Hill.
Tickets are $60 and include access to all sessions, networking opportunities, and refreshments.
Organizers say they hope the event becomes a catalyst for ongoing collaboration, leadership development, and business growth throughout the Bay of Quinte region.
