Motorists travelling through downtown Trenton will need to plan ahead as Dundas Street West closes for the annual Festival on the Bay.
The City of Quinte West says the road will be closed to all vehicle traffic between Division Street and Front Street from 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, until 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 18.
The closure will accommodate activities associated with the Trenton Downtown Business Improvement Area’s Festival on the Bay.
During the closure, eastbound traffic will be detoured onto Division Street, while westbound traffic will be redirected to Front Street.
The city is reminding motorists that Fraser Park Drive remains closed to through traffic because of ongoing work on the Trenton trunk sewer project, so drivers should allow extra travel time and follow posted detour routes.
Officials encourage residents and visitors to plan ahead if travelling through the downtown core during the festival weekend.
