A new candidate has officially entered the race for mayor in Quinte West.
The City of Quinte West says Dennis Flintoff filed nomination papers on July 13, becoming the latest candidate seeking the municipality’s top elected position in the 2026 municipal election.
Candidates have until 2 p.m. on Friday, August 21, to file their nomination papers with the City Clerk.
Following the close of nominations, the city will review and certify all submissions before releasing the official list of certified candidates on Monday, August 24.
Quinte West says residents can find election information, including important dates, voting details and candidate updates, through the city’s municipal election website.
The city will continue to provide updates as additional nomination papers are received ahead of the August deadline.
