Some Cobourg residents may experience reduced water pressure or temporary water service interruptions next week as construction continues on the King Street West Reconstruction Project.
The Town of Cobourg says portions of the municipal water distribution system will be temporarily isolated on Tuesday, July 21, between approximately 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. while crews connect a newly installed watermain.
Most properties will continue to receive normal water service during the work. However, homes in the King Street West, Pebble Beach Drive and surrounding area that have been notified by the town may experience temporary disruptions.
If weather or other unforeseen circumstances delay the work, it will be rescheduled for Wednesday, July 22.
The watermain connection marks another milestone in the King Street West Reconstruction Project, which stretches from William Street to Cobourg Creek. Town officials say installation of the new watermain has been completed, while work is now underway on new storm and sanitary sewer infrastructure.
The Town of Cobourg says the project remains on schedule and on budget and is thanking residents, businesses and motorists for their patience as work continues.
