A new candidate has joined the race for Quinte West council ahead of this fall’s municipal election.
Robert Wharram filed nomination papers Monday to run for the Ward 1 (Trenton) councillor seat.
Candidates have until 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, to file their nomination papers with the City Clerk. The official list of certified candidates will be released on Monday, Aug. 24, following the close of nominations.
Residents can find election information, including important dates, voting details and candidate information, at quintewestvotes.ca. The City says updates will continue to be shared as additional nominations are received.
