An Oshawa man is facing charges after an altercation between two motorists on Academy Hill Road in Northumberland County.
Northumberland OPP say officers and paramedics responded to a disturbance involving two drivers and an edged weapon shortly after 8:10 a.m. on Tuesday.
One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The second driver had left the scene before officers arrived but was later located and arrested by OPP in Belleville. Police say that individual also suffered non-serious injuries during the incident.
Following an investigation, the 38-year-old accused has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in September.
The investigation is continuing with assistance from the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services.
Police believe several vehicles were travelling on Academy Hill Road at the time of the incident and are asking anyone who witnessed the altercation, or who has dash camera footage, to contact the Northumberland OPP.
