Thursday: Starting at 5:30 p.m., Open Mic Night at the Grand Maple is a chance to discover some of the area’s talented musicians, hear a new guest host each week, and enjoy a relaxed evening of live entertainment. Whether you’re ready to step up to the microphone or simply want to take in the performances, you’ll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the Grand Maple Event Centre, 19 Albert Street East in Hastings.
Thursday: Starting at 11:30 a.m., Song & Story Hour is a fun, interactive program for young children that brings together songs, stories, and plenty of opportunities to join in. It’s a great way for little ones to build early literacy skills while having fun with other families at Brighton Public Library.
Friday: Starting at 1 p.m., Warkworth Market at the Mews is the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon browsing fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and one-of-a-kind creations while getting to know the people behind them. Take your time exploring the market, enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, and discover something new at The Mews, 27 Main Street in Warkworth.
Friday: Starting at 12 p.m., Of the Beehive is a colourful collaborative exhibition featuring the work of Heather Stubbs and Rosanne Dolan, along with new pieces from members of the Colborne Art Gallery. It’s a chance to take in a mix of painting, mixed media, photography, textiles, and other local creations at the Colborne Art Gallery, 51 King Street East in Colborne.
