Five people are facing multiple charges following a reported home invasion in Quinte West.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers were called to a residence around 6 p.m. Friday after receiving a report of a robbery in progress.
Police allege five armed individuals entered the home, threatened occupants with a conducted energy weapon and stole cash.
Officers quickly located and arrested five suspects at the scene. Members of the Quinte West OPP Crime Unit assisted with the investigation.
Police say a prohibited conducted energy weapon and cartridge were seized.
Cody Aldrich, 38, of Quinte West, is among those charged in connection with the investigation. Police say additional charges have been laid against the other four accused.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police say the accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice.
