Quinte West is expanding its Culture Days celebration this fall with two weeks of free arts, culture and heritage activities planned across the community.
The City of Quinte West will take part in the national Culture Days initiative from September 18th through October 4th.
After launching its local celebration in 2025, the city says this year’s programming will feature an expanded lineup in partnership with local artists and community organizations.
Events include Fusion Fest on September 19th, stargazing with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, West African drumming with the Quinte West Public Library, a visual history of Trenton, knot tying with the 1st Bay of Quinte Scouts and a spoken word poetry performance and workshop.
Other activities include a community rock snake, a presentation on the science of sourdough, weaving techniques and Doors Open events.
Arts and creativity programming will also run at the Quinte West Youth Centre throughout much of the celebration.
All activities are free and open to the public, although some require pre-registration.
